Tom Coleman: Chairman (55)
Mr. Coleman has been a founder, board member, and involved in executive management in early stage companies since 1982. Mr. Coleman was a founder in Deltec Systems, a manufacturer of ambulatory drug infusion pumps (now Smith Medical) and a director of a number of technology and health care companies. Mr. Coleman began his career with the Health Care Group of the 3M Company. Mr. Coleman received his B.S. degree from University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 1972.
David Cousins: Chief Executive Officer (48)
Mr. Cousins was until recently, Managing Partner and Principal of Beta Partners. Prior to that he was Marketing Vice President of Concert, Inc, a joint venture between British Telecom and AT&T. Prior to that Mr. Cousins had a long career with AT&T as Sales Center Vice President- International, Sales Center Vice President, General Manager, Division Manager - Product Management and R&D., General Manager-Construction for outside plant for 11,000 route miles of fiber optic cable construction, and Operations Manager. Mr. Cousins has a B.S. Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Nicholas ("Nick") Stanley: Vice President, Networks (52) Mr. Stanley is responsible for the design, implementation, and operations of Brilliant Cities' infrastructure as well as linkages to the global communications networks. Mr. Stanley has over twenty-five years experience in wireline telephone, long-haul transmission networks, cellular radio, telecommunications operational support systems and related technologies. In 1995, after careers at EFJohnson Company, ACNeilsen, and ADC Telecommunications, Mr. Stanley founded a consulting company specializing in international technology transfer and licensing, moving further into network systems and the information technology and business support system areas. His company’s work included establishment and overall management responsibility for a US subsidiary for an Irish software provider. He holds a B.S.E.E. and M.S. Eng. Mgt. (Engineering Management) from the University of Missouri at Rolla.
MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORSRobert Agnew (61) Mr. Agnew is currently President and CEO Peterson Industries LLC. Prior to that he was President Brenner Tank Inc., President and CEO Aqua Chem Inc., President Signal Environmental Systems Water Group, and Group Vice President of Signal Corporation. He is currently a board member of Graef, Anhalt and Schloemer Engineers, Baylake Corporation, Midwest Stainless Process Systems and Peterson Builders Inc. Dale Norgen (75) Mr. Norgren retired as Chairman & CEO of Brissman-Kennedy, Inc., was a founder and director of International Distribution Systems, and a member of the board of directors for Nugget Oil Corporation and S & M Corporation, both publicly held companies. Mr. Norgren was also a Director of Standardized Sanitation Systems, An Industry Association, and Chairman and CEO of Dalco Corporation.
ADVISORY BOARD Jack Brown Mr. Brown has over 40 years of experience in the independent telecommunications industry. His tenure included 25 years in the management field and 9 years as the General Manager and later consultant for Golden West Telecommunications, Inc and its subsidiaries. During the 9 years that Mr. Brown was General Manager, the company grew three fold, quadrupled in revenue and increased net income seven fold. Mr. Brown also was a founder in two successful start-up companies. Mr. Brown served on numerous boards during his career, was the president of the South Dakota Independent Telephone Coalition from 1997 to his retirement in 2000 and a member of the Advisory Council to the Department of Agriculture’s rural broadband program. Thomas Dougherty, CPA, JD Mr. Dougherty is currently President of North Oaks Investments LLC and also serves as advisor to the Company’s audit committee. From 1970 to 2004, Mr. Dougherty was a senior tax partner with Ernst & Young LLP, a company with worldwide revenues of more than $15 billion. As senior tax partner for entrepreneurial and personal financial planning services, Mr. Dougherty provided management oversight to the department, developed new client service opportunities and gained broad functional experiences that included extensive individual, corporate, trust, estate and gift planning and analysis, accounting and financial reporting, business plan writing, organizational plan development, small business micro system implementation, and cash and investment planning modeling and analysis.
Louis Fornetti Mr. Fornetti retired as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, for Interra Financial Incorporated (RBC Dain) and President and Chief Executive Officer Interra Clearing Services, the holding company for a Minneapolis-based investment banker. Prior to this position, Mr. Fornetti was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of American Express Financial Advisors where he worked from 1985 until 1995. From 1979 to 1985, Mr. Fornetti was with The St. Paul Insurance Companies as corporate controller. Mr. Fornetti is a certified public accountant, and worked for a number of years for Peat Marwick in St. Paul.
Fred Kalt Mr. Kalt has spent most of his 19 year career at Siemens within telecommunications. He is currently General Manager for Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services, in Beijing, China. Prior to that he was head of the Siemens Outside Plant Group within the Information and Communication Networks, responsible for more than $400 million annual revenues for designing and building telecommunications networks worldwide. He has held other senior positions within Siemens including Vice President of Sales for the Americas, General Director of a joint venture in Vietnam, and Deputy Director of a joint venture in Nigeria.
Donald Heath
Mr. Heath was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Transaction Network Services (TNS), Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for British Telecom North America, Vice President, Data Marketing for MCI, and President and Chief Operating Officer and member of the board for XtraSoft. From 1996 to 2001, Heath was president and Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Society (ISOC) and Chair of the International Ad Hoc Committee (IAHC), a coalition of participants from the broad Internet community, working to satisfy the requirement for enhancements to the Internet's global Domain Name System (DNS). He is currently a member of the U.S. State Department Advisory Committee on International Communication and Information Policy (ACICIP) where he is co-Chair of the Intellectual Property, Inter-Operability and Standards Working Group. |
