The Brilliant Cities Model of Broadband |
Brilliant Cities wants to change the model for
broadband deployments. We believe that our deployment models are the
only cost effective and sustainable models for the future. Maximum bandwidth to consumers and businesses BCI's
Passive Optical Network (PON) uses the latest Gigabit PON technology to
deliver 1.2Gbps of downstream bandwidth and 655Mbps of upstream
bandwidth to each PON area (32 subscribers). The large capacity of a
GPON network will allow BCI to deliver 100Mbps to each home and
business as well as Voice-over-IP, and standard and high definition
video streams. Open access to all providers BCI
built networks will provide open access to application and service
providers. This will help drive competition and benefit consumers by
providing them with next-generation "killer applications". Partnership with the local communityBCI
believes that a communications infrastructure is very similar to other
public infrastructure like roads, bridges, water systems, etc. By
forming Public/Private partnerships (PPP) BCI is able to lower
deployment costs while creating new revenue streams and driving
economic development for the municipality. On demand content
Another differentiator for BCI networks is the goal of making all
traditional broadcast content available "On Demand". The broadcast
paradigm for content is incredibly inefficient and severely restricts
the freedom of consumers. By making all content available on demand,
the consumer can watch whatever they want whenever they want. |
